The hotel, with its wonderful location in front of the Dachstein massif and in the middle of the diverse Ramsau leisure region, comes highly recommended. The Almfrieden rightly ranks among the ten best dog hotels on this site. From the practical dog shower with separate entrance to the treat bar and the friendly service, everything was perfect. Special praise goes to the kitchen, whose delicious dishes rounded off our holiday. We'll be back!

It was our first time at Almfrieden. And we can absolutely recommend it. The Weitblick 1 holiday flat is indescribably well equipped and very bright. The entire hotel, including the outdoor area, is very well maintained.
The dog agility area is a dream. A very welcoming place for both humans and dogs.

We are already regular guests at the Almfrieden Hotel & Romantikchalet, and we are always delighted with the staff, the excellent cuisine, the clean rooms and, of course, the entire hotel! We visit in every season and it is always outstanding!

We have been coming here for several years and are always happy to return, as it feels like coming home. There are many great areas for dogs that you can visit and use freely. These include an agility course, a dog bath, a pool and an indoor play area. Dogs are allowed everywhere, and the place with the free dog biscuits has become a favourite destination for our dog. The food for two-legged guests is also excellent. It is varied, comes in good portion sizes and tastes great.

Everything here is very clean, there are dog waste bins with bags everywhere, drinking facilities for dogs, a dog snack bar, an agility area, a dog pool, and you can feel that dogs are truly welcome here. The team here is super friendly, attentive and helpful. The food is very good and here too, both humans and dogs are catered for! Humans can specify any allergies or intolerances and you will be given food accordingly. Dogs can have their own food or a freshly cooked meal or a BARF menu. Simply an all-round package for a successful holiday with your four-legged friend. We would love to come back again and again.

We have been spending our holidays at Almfrieden with our dachshund for years, and we are thrilled every single time! The service is warm and attentive, the food is good, and the homemade dog biscuits are the absolute highlight for our four-legged friend. We were excited to see what awaited us. We received a very friendly welcome upon arrival. Everything was shown to us and every question was answered calmly.
The room was large and bright. A dog basket, toys and a bowl were provided for our dog. A treat corner for dogs is openly accessible in the reception area, as well as dog biscuits. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant. The tables here are not so close together, which made dining very pleasant. Even our shy dog coped well with the situation. We had half board and the breakfast and dinner were fresh and delicious every day. You could even order a bowl of food for your dog for an extra charge. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. There are two fenced-in areas for dogs, as well as a small pool. A dog trainer would also have been available, but we weren't there long enough to take advantage of that. Our conclusion is that we will be back. We and our dog felt very comfortable at Almfrieden.

It was our first stay in a dog hotel with our boxer Fridolin and we really enjoyed it. The large sun terrace with a view of the natural surroundings is a wonderful place to linger. 

Conclusion: The Hotel Almfrieden is no ordinary ‘dog-friendly hotel’, but a real centre of excellence for holidays with dogs - loving, professional and thought through down to the last detail. We will definitely be back - a holiday that makes dogs and people equally happy!

This was our 2nd time at the Hotel Almfrieden and we were again very satisfied. We had booked flat HochOben no. 6 with half board. The view alone makes up for the fact that the lift ends on the 3rd floor. Only important for holidaymakers who have problems climbing stairs. Otherwise, people and dogs are well catered for with good food, extra menus for dogs and very attentive and friendly staff. There are also lots of extras for the dogs (pool, play area, training ground, indoor playground, etc.) plus a wonderful area with lots of forest and many crystal-clear mountain streams, a blessing on hot summer days. Conclusion: We would love to come back. 

A great hotel for a holiday with a dog. The dogs (and their masters) have a great time here. We had a room with a far-reaching view and balcony, a fantastic view. There is nothing to criticise about the cuisine, simply great, excellent food. There are also fresh and tasty menus for dogs. The guided walks with dogs were great. All in all a successful holiday. I've been to the Hotel Almfrieden with my dog several times now - both in summer and winter - and each time our stay has been simply perfect. As soon as we turn onto the access road, my dog starts to freak out with joy because he knows that his absolute paradise awaits him here. This hotel isn't just dog-friendly - it's a real dog paradise where four-legged friends take center stage. You feel welcome at the Hotel Almfrieden from the very first minute. We are always greeted in a friendly manner when we check in, and there is already a cozy basket and bowls in the room for my dog. You notice immediately: dogs are not tolerated guests here, but real VIPs!

I am particularly impressed by the well thought-out offer for dogs. Dog biscuits are available free of charge all day long, which makes my four-legged friend very happy every time. After a long walk or hike, you can shower your dog in a specially equipped dog shower - an incredibly practical detail, especially after muddy autumn days or snowy winter tours. Another highlight is the hotel's agility park. Here my dog can run around, play and let off steam to his heart's content. It's wonderful to see how much fun the dogs have with the obstacles and training opportunities. And you can also see the hotel's extraordinary dedication at mealtimes: if you order food for yourself and your dog, your dog is even served first - I've never experienced that anywhere else!

Our first holiday with our dog at the Hotel Almfrieden was so enjoyable that we booked for next year on the day of our departure. It was a feel-good holiday for both humans and our dog. I would particularly like to emphasise the warm friendliness and attentiveness of the entire staff. 100% recommendation.

If you haven't been to the Hundehotel Almfrieden yet, you should do so as soon as possible. You arrive and feel at home, a warm welcome, great staff, excellent cuisine that offers something for everyone. This is the second time we've stayed here with our middle schnauzer and it certainly won't be the last.

I've been here for a week now and I'm going home tomorrow. It was an all-round beautiful, varied and completely relaxing holiday. I would like to give special praise to the mountain guide Markus, who was always attuned to his guests during the hikes on offer, with a lot of patience and always making sure that everyone was doing well, just really great.
All the staff are also always very friendly and committed.
This area here is an absolute dream, the view from the hotel is gigantic I was in a dog hotel for the first time. My four-legged companion is a good 2 years old and I've had him for about 8 months (he comes from an animal shelter).
As he has had quite a few problems with dog encounters so far, this was of course a special decision, but it was exactly the right one. He has found lots of dog buddies here and I think he's also had a lot of fun.
I think the most important thing is that both the two-legged and the four-legged friend can have a good time.

We stayed in the romantic room in the chalet, from the first minute to check-out, everything was great! The staff are very friendly and super quick! The service staff and the cleaners are great people, they really cater to your needs and are very attentive. The location for dog owners is fantastic, the walk starts right outside the door and can be customised to suit your own needs. The length, your own stamina, with or without water, it's all there. A few kilometres by car opens up even more possibilities, with or without a dog, thanks to the Sommercard. The food was very good, with a new selection and regional specialities every day at the breakfast buffet. The dinner was also very good, every day a salad buffet with a regional selection, starter, main course were three to choose from every day as well as dessert. One evening there was a barbecue. The room was a dream, just right for us and our Labradors, cool wooden floor, huge shower, a private fenced-in terrace topped it all off. There's a lot more to mention, it really is a great hotel! All in all, we were very satisfied and have therefore booked directly for next year.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all once again. We felt very comfortable in your house and our three dogs also enjoyed their stay, which was unfortunately very short this time. We can really recommend the Hotel Almfrieden! The location directly on the Dachstein is simply gorgeous! The hotel is very clean, the food fantastic (with panoramic windows in the dining room with a view of the mountains). We stayed in the Romantik Chalet and really liked it there. Everything is on site for the dogs (bowls, blankets etc), there are free dog biscuits and muzzles for the mountain lifts to borrow. There are great walking trails in the immediate vicinity and a free run area from the hotel. There are also plenty of opportunities for the two-legged ones to relax on holiday (enough loungers in the garden with a wonderful view, sauna etc). The staff is always friendly and very attentive. Especially Ivan was always in a good mood, asked in the evening how our day was and had great excursion tips for the next day for us. We have been to many dog hotels, but the Hotel Almfrieden is something special!

Winter vacation with dog could not be better. Beautiful, clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Varied breakfast buffet and very good choice of dishes for dinner. All this in a dream environment. What more could you want...
Location & surroundings: Beautiful location. Large parking lot. Close to Ramsau village. Cross-country ski trail and walking paths directly in front of the hotel.
Rooms: We stayed in the Romantikchalet. Nice large room with its own small terrace. I found it good that the chalet has its own ski cellar. Comfortable furnishings.
Service: The staff was always friendly and helpful.
Gastronomy: Varied breakfast buffet and for dinner always three dishes to choose from - including always a vegetarian dish. For fussy kids, however, there was always a schnitzel, nuggets or spaghetti to be had. There is also a separate menu for the dogs. We were in the Jägerstüberl - very rustic, but cozy - perfect atmosphere for a winter vacation.
Sports & Entertainment: There is a small fine wellness area.
