We look forward to the upcoming winter season with many wonderful moments for both people and their furry friends.
Treat yourself to a harmonious holiday at the 5-Paws-rated 4-star Hotel and Romantic Chalet "Almfrieden." Our hotel enjoys an idyllic and tranquil location on the edge of the forest in Ramsau am Dachstein, in the heart of Austria, and is a rewarding destination for dog owners and their four-legged companions any time of year.
Dogs are especially welcome here, as we love furry friends.
Up to two dogs per room stay free of charge and are pampered with a welcome treat, a dog bed, a blanket, toys, towels, food bowls, and much more.
Your beloved pet is welcome to join you in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
A special highlight is the weekly social walk with our dog trainer, Petra, which is offered free of charge, as well as one hour of complimentary dog sitting.
Several times a week, our certified hiking guide, Markus, offers guided summer and winter hikes where two- and four-legged guests can explore the beautiful surroundings together.
Winter hike with dog - salt-free trails
With over 300 km of groomed winter hiking trails across meadows and forests in Ramsau am Dachstein, our hotel is the ideal starting point for winter hikes with your dog. The paths do not lead over salted roads, so your four-legged friend's paws are spared. After a varied walk, you can borrow a dog bathrobe free of charge if you want to shower your dog. And if your four-legged friend wants to go out again in the evening, there is a torch to borrow free of charge.

Ramsau's outstanding cross-country ski trails begin right next to our hotel, while the World Championship pistes of Schladming-Dachstein & Ski amadé are just a 10-minute drive away. You are definitely spoiled for choices.
